I agree with Marlene, theyvare referred to as 'chester' which is what's important. I was in a bakery last year with a German friend over for carnival. There was a kind of buffet of salgados and then you weighed your plate. She is a vegetarian and had picked up a salgados with chester in it, thinking it was cheese. When she complained to the staff that it had been mislabelled, they all looked at us quite incredulously, 'Mas, e Chester!'

I remember having Chester, that is how we call it in Brazil, for Christmas dinner, it was a big treat, a substitute for turkey (as big) and, as a matter of fact, it tastes much better than turkey.

Chester was the "brand" name (not necessarily registered, maybe later it was) adopted by Perdigao (or whatever firm it was, not Sadia probably) MERELY to emphasize that its ready-to-cook chickens had very large breasts. They were not overgrown. They were just a tad bigger than usual. I'm thinking back to the late 70s (lived in SP 1979-83) when ready-to-cook chickens packaged and labeled for sale in supermarkets were relatively new in Brazil. They were not in any way overgrown, special "raza" or odd.

not quite sure if it's been developed through selective breeding or genetic modification (I think the former), but apparently the name derives from the fact that it has a large breast...
