"rúbrica" is usually initials or abbreviated signature, but that would not make sense here. However, a signature is for approval, and, besides, "rubricada" means "stamped with official approval"
So is my logic, right or wrong

That was exactly why I asked (because rúbrica usually relats to sigantures/stamps/approvals, etc.). Right on... I am still trying to work out racionalidade tributária... then I can go off and play :) Thanks for the help! |

: Rubrica (sem acento) orçamentária é um item orçamentário (budget item). A rubrica é um "heading" de despesas previstas em um orçamento

Budgetary heading is what I first thought of; however, I could not find it in the dictionaries I have. Now I changed the glossary to reflect that.
