nanoTeslas (nT) Explanation: Em apoio à resposta anterior, ver: For practical considerations, the device characteristics are expressed in terms of the observed effect of field exposure, i.e. magnetic fieldin nanoTeslas (nT) produced at a distance of 0.3 meter (12 inches) from the telltale. May be it is teslas (tesla is a unit for measuring magnetic fields). Is there a typo? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 days (2005-02-08 21:11:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- According to scientiic convention, names of units derived from proper names are NEVER capitalized: e.g. angstrom, not Angstrom, newtons, not Newtons; bohrs, not Bohrs. In abbreviations, however, thay are capitalized (e.g. A, N, for angstrom and bohr respectively). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 days (2005-02-08 21:13:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Of course, one will find many references to Tesla, or Newton used as unit, because most of the writers of these expressions are not scientists. No problem with that, but it remains incorrect. |
