Discussion

Angela Greenfield Mar 11, 2011:
Agree with Konstantin, a con IS a crime that involves abuse of someone's trust. No need to specify what type of con.
Konstantin Kisin Mar 11, 2011:
Angela did get it right, but she only explained to you what a con man/artist is ;)

There's no sense in which her comment makes the answer more specific.
G Charles (asker) Mar 11, 2011:
Point taken,The Misha. Sorry folks for lack of manners and belated Thank you!
Angela, you got it right, I need smth in those lines. As I see ''мошенник на доверии'' as a particular type of con.
The Misha Mar 11, 2011:
And it really wouldn't hurt if the asker said "please" or "thank you". Why do you nice folks even bother with questions asked in this fashion?
Angela Greenfield Mar 10, 2011:
мошенничество на доверии This is a term that describes the type of crime in the course of which the victim _willingly_ transfers goods/money/other property to the criminal as opposed to robbery (use of force or threat against the victim) or theft (takes place without the victim's knowledge).
Konstantin Kisin Mar 10, 2011:
Hi G Charles, I am not able to be any more specific than the source text, particularly given the lack of any context. :)
G Charles (asker) Mar 10, 2011:
@Konstantin I can see it's a con artist of a tipe, but would you specify?
