створный знак leading beacon Explanation: usually the vessel entering the port is guided by leading beacons marking the fairway. When she is in the right position both leading beacons are "in line" and the vessel is "on range" post - скорее створный шест, веха. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 hrs 56 mins (2004-07-24 11:51:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- поэтому комбинация leading pole - для данного случая будет наилучшим вариантом :-) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 19 hrs 59 mins (2004-07-24 16:53:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- но слово beacon = знак. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 hrs 0 min (2004-07-24 16:54:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- beacon - [n] a fire (usually on a hill or tower) that can be seen from a distance. More... 2. [n] a tower with a light that gives warning of shoals to passing ships. More... 3. [n] a radio station that broadcasts a directional signal for navigational purposes. More... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day 23 hrs 2 mins (2004-07-25 19:56:37 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- а жалко что не используется :-) красивое слово! |
