Discussion
The history and function of the cupola as an architectural detail
The cupola (Latin for "little dome") is a form of dome, a structure of efficiency and strength.
The sun glistens off the silver crosses atop this church steeple's three onion domes.
To je tačno taj problem.
Mada, ukoliko uz vaš tekst ide i fotografija tog tornja mislim da bi možda i moglo da se prevede kao "3 cupolas": http://www.tyrol.tl/en/tyrols-holiday-areas/innsbruck-and-su... the recently restored bulbous spire is the only steeple of Tyrol that has got three onion-domes! Molim vas pogledajte fotografiju tog tornja na dnu navedene stranice. BTW, na slici koju ste naveli se ne radi o "onion domes", prehodno sam navela samo kao primer.
(Hvala svima! Vec danima proucavam cupola i dome... )
