Here is a list of what I rather think are terms for the different holes used for blasting rock. There is plenty of info on Google in Spanish but I would like the meanings of the terms in English. The terms come in a table called "Cargas Explosivas" under the heading of "Zona". there is some reference to some of these words at the very useful site http://www.archive.org/stream/glossaryofmining00fayarich/glo... buit they do not seem relevant in the context

I finally had a few minutes to look into these terms this morning, and managed to find the answers. They're all blasting zones.

The Spanish text talks about "recorte" while the diagram is labelled "contorno". They are referring to the same thing.
