Intranet Social del Conocimiento: Esta solución acelerada, basada en WebCenter Portal facilita la colaboración y la compartición del conocimiento empresarial gracias a las tecnologías sociales.

I am wondering what 'Intranet Social del Conocimiento' is and what it means. I would also like to know if it would translate as either Knowledge-based social intranet or Intranet social knowledge or something else?

Thanks.

Corporate Knowledge Intranet

Explanation:
We're talking corporate here, not social. This is for information exchange within a corporate environment, in my opinion.

Another term which I have come across is

Knowledge-net.

So Corporate Knowledge-Net would be another more colloquial possibility.

neutral  Martin Cassell: my reaction too: but "social" clearly contrasts with "empresarial"

-> I don't think so, except with businesses big enough to have an intranet which are not corporations/companies. 'Social' virtually always in this use refers to a company or corporation.

agree  neilmac: Corporate= Company (Sociedad). No confusion twixt "social vs business" in my book, as they are talking about social networks in general.

neutral  philgoddard: I think this refers to the use of Facebook-like technology to share knowledge, and it has to include the word "social".

-> Could be, but I don't think companies like to encourage their workers to waste time on social intercourse in working hours. That's my guess.
