Spanish term or phrase: invitan al optimismo
I know in English we'd never say "invite to optimism". I was thinking something along the lines of "things look promising". Any ideas out there? Thanks in advance!

HTC, el fabricante taiwanés de teléfonos inteligentes o 'smartphones' con sistema operativo Android, acaba de presentar unos resultados del segundo trimestre del año que invitan al optimismo.

give cause for optimism

Explanation:
Yet another option!

Your text reads quite neutrally in style as far as I can see, and I've tried to reflect this. I agree that "looks promising" sounds more natural than the literal translation, which, as you say, we'd never say in English, but I'm worried that your original option is a bit informal?

Explanation:
A literal translation. I offer it as an option. Can't say it's better or worse than any of the rest of them. It's not wrong anyway! : o )
