Spanish term

Impuesto del centro nacional del cinematógrafo

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Transport / Transportation / Shipping Supply chain parameters/EDI
The phrase is from a text string in list of taxes in an EDI billing form, and there is no more useful context. I am based in Spain, but I don't know if the original text is from/aimed at any country in particular, although it could be for use in Mexico. The original text may also have been translated from French... so they might be French taxes that do not readily correspond to extant UK/USA levies. Any light shed on this will be welcome.
Sample:
"Importe neto dto. tributario
Impuesto del centro nacional del cinematógrafo
Impuesto del instituto francés del petróleo
Impuesto eco embalaje
etc..."

National Cinema Centre Tax

If it's French (probably, given the subsequent line in the sample) I believe it is 10% on box-office revenue, but I'm not totally sure; this is then distributed by the NCC to support home-grown cinema production.

I second Lisa's comment about getting more information from the client!

Otherwise we may be heading up a blind alley
Note from asker:
These strings are sent to me online and I work on them in a virtual environment. There is a function for online queries but sometimes they don't reply, or take ages, and the people who do respond often seem not to know themselves, which is why I'm posting it here.

French cinema

Hi Neil, if it does originate from France (maybe you need to ask the client some questions :)) this link may be useful.

How strange! The link I provided above no longer goes straight to the relevant page - it now asks you to log in.
Note from asker:
Have consulted the client via their online query function. However posting it on proz will act as a reminder for me, since they might not get back to me on it for a while (or at all)and I'm doing other stuff too, so am liable to forget this one... Not everyone in the company is able to answer this kind of query.

France all the way

"Impuesto eco embalage" must refer to the French "Eco-Emballages" initiative.

I found a reference to "Impuesto eco embalage" in this document (which is translated from French):
"Principales normas exógenas con impacto sobre el funcionamiento del grupo Brioche Pasquier
- Metrología, etiquetado de productos, condiciones generales de venta (DGCCRF, Dirección de la Competencia y Represión de Fraudes)
- Impuesto eco embalaje (Estado)"
http://www.compite.org.mx/7resp/Ponencias/P07.pdf

Here's a European Commission document on Eco-Emballages:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:...

So everything seems to point to France, and I reckon Lisa's link on the CNC is relevant here.

Yes, the French-Mex connection seems to be a theme here. Sorry about "embalage" by the way; must have caught something off these French sources! Good luck with this.
Note from asker:
Your first ref. is from Mx which seems to confirm my suspicions. Watch this space...
