Hi - I'm having a bit of difficulty with this phrase. "någon av mig " doesn't seem clear in this context which appears below. Thanks for your help!


Skulle bröstarvinge leva i eller inleda samboförhållande skall egendom som bröstarvinge erhåller genom detta testamente eller arv efter någon av mig inte utgöra egendom som skall ingå i bodelning mellan bröstarvinge och dennes sambo.

This is all excellent information. The German "Nachlass nach mir" looks familiar and on closer thought, this being a legal, witnessed and signed document, such an egregious typo would be hard to imagine. In the first part of the will, the testator leaves her entire estate (the property) to her two direct heirs. Logically there's no other heir or successor then getting any of the property to be subsequently passed on to the direct heir. Ergo - I'm going with "through this will or inheritance claimed through my estate shall not constitute property" I believe that covers all possibilities.

I think the erhåller ... av mig applies both to the will and any other arv

The only mention of inheritors are the two direct heirs named at the beginning of the document.
I think I've got it. Going with "that the direct heir receives through this will or receives from me through inheritance "

Should the heir live in or enter into a cohabiting relationship, property that the direct heir receives through this will or inheritance received from me shall not constitute property that is to be included in the division of property between the direct heir and her cohabitant.

This is a will for some object not money? this means when the person (an heir) inherits directly from the testator or through another person who also inherited (the object) from the testator. Say, a ring, will be kept within the family-line (direct descendent) and not pass to a 'sambo.' Is there more language saying who else would get the object after this person?

Thanks - so to be clear, this is a typo and should read
"erhåller genom detta testamente eller arv erhåller av mig" that's still an odd structure.

The 'estate after me', so of mine > is a Germanic construction - compare Nachlaß nach mir in DEU and I have adapted Deane G's idea by reproducing my translation the French 'equivalent' of ayant cause: person claiming through and / or ayant droit: person entitled through or under anothe / may include a widow / universal successor; heir > FHS Bridge, Council of Europe / non-EU European Court of Human Rights, French Glossary.

The first example sentence may be corporate-contextualis/zed, but is no different to the or my idea.

I'm unsure this is a typo - cut to Swedish nationals

Note that in ENG Common Law, a right of representation passes the entitlement to take out a grant of probate > Scots: letters of confirmation of the Will > down a line of successors to the estate,
