I'm afraid I don't know of a more succinct way of putting it than that. Dominant part/element/portion are all possible options, as is effective element. Here are a few references.

Vid en jämförelse mellan <thermohus.se> och firman Arkitektritade Thermohus i Skåne Försäljnings AB kan konstateras att dessa i sina helheter skiljer sig tydligt från varandra. Det ord i firman som främst drar uppmärksamheten till sig och som får anses vara firmadominanten är dock ”THERMOHUS”.

However, according to that case-law, protection of such foreign trade names is subject to the condition that the ‘effective’ element of that trade name be, at least to some extent, well known in the relevant Finnish trade circles.
Enligt denna rättspraxis är skyddet för utländska firmanamn emellertid beroende av att firmadominanten åtminstone till viss grad är känd i den berörda branschen i Finland.
