Absolute/perfect pitch
Absolute/perfect pitch ear training.
Examples of what it means when you have it:
Copy chords straight off a CD
Find desired chords by ear — instead of searching by hand or eye
Know if a pitch is sharp or flat — without a reference tone
Identify keys of songs — by ear alone
Hear sheet music mentally
etc. etc.
I'm lucky to have some of this (in spite of my mom)...

Madeleine MacRae Klintebo
: Considering the context - this might not work. You can't really study "perfect pitch"

Actually - you can, there are several methods and books on the subject. Please see note above...

Barry Appleby
: gehör is not the same as absolut gehör. Those who do not have perfect pitch receive training to allow them to identify chords etc.

I agree with you Barry, ”gehör” is not the same as ”absolut gehör”, though I can't follow your argumentation, this is aimed to composers after all, and I am sure that the objective here is to elevate this towards absolute as this is needed more or less...

Anna Herbst
: I agree with Barry. /... Yes, Stefan, I disagree with you and I agree with Anna and Charles as the question is about subjects studied in a course and you can't study "perfect pitch".

Does that mean that you disagree with me?
But Anna, tell that to those who claim that YOU CAN study to learn perfect pitch!
Please check example links above...
I didn't make this up myself...

Christopher Schröder
: Gehör is not about learning perfect pitch but about hearing the various components of the music played
