Discussion

Salih YILDIRIM Dec 28, 2012:
To the interested!: In English language, as known by all linguists, meaning given by using weak verbs (9 weak verbs; get, become, taste, sound, remain, feel, seem, etc.) we create a big difference in comparison to "to be" namely;"To be mad" means "deli olmak" (present state) but "to get crazy" means "becoming crazy".
Mehmet Ali Bahıt Dec 11, 2012:
This is an exercise where you have to fill in the blanks using the text on the next page. So frame 10 corresponds to segment number 10 in the complete dialogue.

In other words, the sentence is not "Kızım sen delirdin", but rather "Kızım sen delirdin mi? Kedinin ağzından alınan şey yenir mi? Bırak yesin."

"Goodness! Are you mad" would fit better

Daughter, did you get crazy?

Imho
Peer comment(s):

disagree Kim Metzger : "did you get crazy" is not how a native speaker would express it.
