English to Tagalog: General High School Information
Source text - English Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education is the part of the provincial government that oversees education. When high school students come to Canada, they have to go to the Newcomer Welcome Centre (NWC) for an initial assessment. The assessor sends the student’s original school transcripts (records from the school in the home country) to the Ministry of Education (education branch of the provincial government). The Ministry then evaluates the school records from the student’s home country and grants the student credits.
If a student does not have an original school transcript or record from the home country, regardless of age or ability, the student will have to earn all 24 credits (Grade 10, 11 and 12 classes) in order to graduate.
