remember has already taken place. If asked why we
don't remember scenes from our future, we might
answer: " Because, dummy, they haven't happened yet ! " But as
the Queen in Lewis Carroll's delightful book suggests, perhaps
we do have memories of the future, however nonsensical that
may sound. Consider the albeit radical possibility that the Queen
is right: memory does work both ways. That is, you are perfectly
able to remember the future just as well as you can recall the past. Further, consider that having a two-way memory could lead,
as the Queen suggests, to distinct advantages. For example, it
might help you deal with synchronicities and experiences of deja
vu, avoid health problems, make significant predictions about
your life, and offer many other benefits, as may become clear as
this book unfolds.
To begin exploring this idea, let's think first about the nature
of memory as we commonly know it-having to do with the recall
of past events. Certainly you remember your last vacation, as well
as a favorite restaurant you went to, or a show you saw, and so on.
And I'm sure there are some past experiences you don't remember,
though possibly your spouse does: "Oh, don't you remember
that day in Paris when we saw those flowers on the bank of the
Seine? " she or he asks, and you draw a blank.

Introduction
Good evening Everyone, Welcome to the first session of the workshop series on “Innovation and Best Practices in Online Teaching”, today’s session titled Quality Matters in online Education
First, let me start by introducing myself,
It is my pleasure to be here today and I would like to thank you all for taking the time to be part of our session this evening.
Today’s session is split into three parts.
I will start by answering: “Why Quality Matters in Online Education?” and “What are the ways we can use to evaluate quality in our own online or hybrid course in the coming semester?”
Then we move to ways in which we can ensure good quality by preparing the Course Design before the semester starts.
Then I will talk about how to make sure you meet the good standards by applying certain guidelines during course delivery which includes items that needs to be followed on during the term.
The session is going to take about 40 min and then I will leave some time for discussions and questions.
So if you are planning to deliver an excellent hybrid or online course during the next semester. If you wondered lately, where should you start? When should you start? Or how should you start preparing for Fall semester? What you should prepare? How should you improve your online course? This session will answer these questions and provide you with a roadmap that can lead you to successful semester.
By the end of this session, I will share with you a checklist or you can think of it as a guideline that includes most the items that has been part of evaluating many successful online courses. Not only so, all of these items included in the checklist continue to be a necessary addition to many online course provided by highly ranked university.

أ- مساء الخير، ومرحبًا بالجميع، هذه هي المحاضرة الأولى من سلسلة حلقات العمل الخاصة بـ "أفضل الابتكارات والممارسات حول التَّدريس عن بُعد " ، ومحاضرة اليوم تحت عنوان "أهمية الجودة في التَّعليم الإلكتروني"
ب.- في البداية، اسمحوا لي أن أُحدِّثكم قليلاً عن نفسي.
ج- يسرُّني كثيرًا أن أكون معكم اليوم. وأودُّ أن أُعبِّر عن امتناني لوجودكم هنا، فشكرًا جزيلاً على وقتكم.
1- مُحاضرة اليوم مُقسَّمة إلى ثلاثة أجزاء.
أ- في البداية، سأُجيب على بعض التساؤلات البسيطة، مثل:
"لماذا تُعدُّ الجودة أمرًا مهمًا في التَّعليم الإلكتروني؟"، و "ما هي طرق تقييم الجودة للمُقرَّرات الإلكترونية التي تعتمد التَّدريس عن بُعد بشكلٍ كاملٍ، أو المُقرَّرات التي ستُدرَّس عن بُعد بشكلٍ جزئي، خلال الفصل الدّراسي القادم؟"
ب- بعد ذلك سأتحدَّث عن طرق الحصول على مستوى جودة لائق من خلال التصميم الجيد للمقرَّرات الإلكترونية قبل بداية الفصل الدّراسي.
ج- ثم سأتطرق إلى الحديث عن كيفية تلبية المعايير المطلوبة، من الالتزام بقواعد مُحدَّدة أثناء تدريس المُقرَّرات الإلكترونية، حيث تحتوي تلك القواعد على مجموعة من العناصر يجب اتباعها خلال الفصل الدّراسي.
د- مدة المحاضرة 40 دقيقة تقريبًا. وفي النهاية، سأستقبل أسئلتكم، وأفتح الباب للمناقشة.
3- فإذا كنتم تُخطِّطون لتدريس مُقرَّرات إلكترونية متميزة، تعتمد التَّدريس عن بُعد بشكلٍ كامل، أو المُقرَّرات التي تعتمد التَّدريس عن بُعد بشكلٍ جزئي، خلال الفصل الدّراسي القادم، وتتساءلون كيف يُمكنكم ذلك، من أين نبدأ، وفي أي وقت؟ أو تتساءلون عن كيفية إعداد مُقرَّرات ناجحة لفصل الخريف؟ وترغبون في التَّعرُّف على العناصر التي تحتاج إلى التحضير. أو كنتم تودون التَّعرف على طُرق تحسين المُقرَّرات الإلكترونية الخاص بكم، التي تعتمد التَّدريس عن بُعد؟
فهذه المحاضرة مثالية لكم. ستُجيب المحاضرة على كل هذه التساؤلات، وستُقدِّم لكم خطة جيدة تُساعدكم على تحقيق فصل دراسي ناجح.
