Putting online of a French as a foreign language portal for non-French speakers
Study of welcome arrangements for foreign students and researchers at the Brest site.
I am a translator because I love languages and love working with languages, in particular my own language, English, and French. In fact, I've been a Francophile since the age of 11 and my first French lesson.
I have been a translator since I moved to France to live and work 17 years ago. Being a native speaker of English, I always translate from French into English.
I translate in a wide range of fields, including education, history, geography, and travel and tourism, and the work I produce is of high quality. My aim is to produce a text in natural English. So many translated documents, although comprehensible, are so obviously just that - documents that were first written in another language and then translated into English. I want native English-speaking readers of my translations to be unaware that the first version was actually written in another language.
The quality of my work has been officially recognised by the Chartered Institute of Linguists. I was elected an Associate Member in 2001, and a Member in 2008. I have also always received positive feedback from my clients.
I was a 'traducteur-interprète expert' (sworn translator-interpreter) at the Cour d'Appel in Agen as well as the Cour d'Appel de Rennes. Unfortunately, I am no longer an 'expert' as I have had move away.
