Hi, I need to buy a copy of Ernst and was wondering if you could recommend a website (presumably German) where I can buy it? I'm in the UK if that's of any relevance. Thanks, Joanne | | | sandhya Local time: 10:15 German to English + ... check out... | Mar 11, 2004 |

I agree with Sandhya. I've also had success with Kater. Good luck! Carley P.S. If you happen to be passing through Munich at all, you can usually get it (without placing an order in advance) at the big Hugendubel bookstore in the main shopping street that extends down from the main train station. I forget the metro stop... Karlstor? Anyway, near Stachus.

As Sandhyia mentioned, try Kater-Verlag. I've been extremely pleased with their selection and their prompt and courteous service. I find their prices quite competitive (I am comparing their prices to a company here in the US that also specializes in foreign language dictionaries, and I have yet to find a dictionary where Kater-Verlag doesn't have the better price.) And if you are looking for something they don't carry, Mr. Kotzur will do his best to get it for you. I placed another ... See more As Sandhyia mentioned, try Kater-Verlag. Just haven't had a chance yet to install all my new toys... ▲ Collapse

I can't think why anyone would feel the need to buy Ernst (though my experience is only with the FrenchEnglish edition), but have a look at Amazon.co.uk, which has some second-hand ones as well as new. David

I agree that Kater is great. I once bought a load of dictionaries from them and they threw in a small freebie. Good service! Plus they'll put you on their mailing list to receive their catalog. amazon.de is also good, but I find searching for dictionaries on any amazon site a bit difficult because they often don't have enough info about the language direction and edition. I have also successfully ordered from ibd Ltd., but that is in NY, so not of as much use to you. ... See more I agree that Kater is great. I am pondering that purchase, as I don't do much technical (but it comes up sometimes). ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Best online site for buying Ernst dictionary?
