Advisable size of workbench files in Trados Freelance 6.5.5

Does anyone have any bad experiences in Trados Freelance 6.5.5 with workbench files that get too big.

I haven't had that problem yet, but as they grow I often wonder what the advisable size (both in terms of units and memory) is.

Any thoughts/bad experiences?
