French term

zones de clivage/glissement

French to English Medical Medical (general) connective tissue; massage
Inviting suggestions for good technical translations of the above terms, as appearing in the paragraph below, from a text about the treatment of connective tissue by massage.

Le remaniement des tissus se traduit en profondeur par l’apparition à l’échographie, de zones de clivage qui constituent autant de zones de glissement. Les modifications des plans sous cutanés révèlent la formation de strates de structure hypoéchogène, véritables plans de glissement. Un effet de drainage a été observé mais n’était pas pris en compte dans l’étude.

Thanks.

In medical terminology, \"Cleavage\" = \"Clivage\" (source EURODICAUTOM)

Clarification: \"zones\" in my translation example above is being used to modify both cleavage and sliding:
thus \"cleavage zones\" and \"sliding zones\"
(I had rendered it with a slash in between: cleavage/sliding zones)
Peer comment(s):

neutral Dr Sue Levy (X) : your refs have nothing to do with the context - did you read them?//the words "echogenicity" and "cleavage" appear in completely unrelated extracts

I had cut and pasted several others but they did not show. I did see a few that had to do with ultrasound, which is definitely something relevant here--my last ref. does mention echogenicity that relates to ultrasound although the example is sketchy...

Comment: "because I am yet to have the intended meaning confirmed."
