Not really. But from the paragraph pasted below you could see that an application without a valid digital signature basically means \"that the originator of the application cannot be determined\".

Sorry, that was not the whole paragraph. Here it is ...

If a user tries to install an application that does not have a valid digital signature Symbian OS will present a security warning. The warning will say that the originator of the application cannot be determined. Symbian recommends that all users apply judgment and caution when installing unsigned applications and only install them if they are sure that the application is reputable, just as they would for any other software.
