German term

Welle

German to English Bus/Financial Marketing / Market Research
In the context of market research, I assume Welle here means phase, is that right? "Diese Präsentation zeigt Ihnen den Aufbau und Inhalt des Standardberichtes zur zweiten Welle des Low Cost Carrier Monitors"

This is the central result of the first wave of the new Low Cost Carrier Monitor (LCCM), which was developed by NFO Infratest. It is an independent, representative study, which investigates in detail the issue of low cost carriers and their use in Germany.

Phase

IMVHO if this is about a study, which I think it is, then I think you are dead right with phase. The word "wave" would tend, in English to mean some kind of marketing consumer "trend" which I don't think is relevant to your context.

If it was about a further development of a product, then "generation" is OK.

So "phase" dead right IMO.
