For an exhibition on the link between cinema and 'obras literarias y plásticas'. Is there a specific term for 'obra plástica' in English. I'm pretty sure it's not plastic work! Many thanks.

agree translatol : 'Plastic arts' is more restricted and suggests something three-dimensional.

The classes's teaching method is an active one, for it should not be forgotten that "emotion" is above all "motion". The pupils, teachers and other partners choose a theme, draw up a programme, determine the means to be used and select modes of communication. These are highly varied, and all forms of expression may be utilised: spoken, sensorial, gestural and behavioral language. Music, dance and the plastic arts offer excellent means of communication.

plastic artworks

A tricky one since cinema is a visual art and since one can find references to "literary and plastic ARTS" but only two dubious ones to "literary and plastic WORKS"! "Plastic works" by itself pulls up a lot of hits having to do with rubber and plastic manufacturing.

My workaround therefore would be "literary and plastic artworks". One can search Google for and at least get hundreds of hits for "literary artworks" and "plastic artworks". The people in the field will know what both are.

Some definitions of "plastic arts", by the way, include dance (because the dancer's body is the malleable medium") but I'd stick with "plastic arts" in this case.
