Hi Kim-parier is to bet in French. Pari in German has something to do with (at) par. I am at a complete loss as to what this is. could it be a blueprint?

I think Austrians often borrow terms from the French. Would pari mean anything in this context? Proposal?

Quite a few google hits at least hint at this meaning, and the following one gives it explicitly. My guess is that the term comes from Latin or French.
