I entirely agree with quincey's suggestion, but disagree with his reference, which is why I am giving the same answer.
Quincey's quota value is a system to raise the price that Canadian farmers can obtain - basically a price-fixing mechanism (very similar to the frequent calls for price-fixing in our translation business).
However, in a Swedish context, it means something very different. It is a newly introduced system, in which the nominal value of a share is replaced by the quota value, which is the share capital divided by the number of shares. See ref.
In short, I agree with quincey's suggestion, but not his reference.

May 2009: Heather Howey has raised an important question -- quota value or quotient value. I agree that quotient makes better mathematical sense, but unfortunately there is widespread disagreement. My favourite financial dictionary FAR gives quotient value first, then quota value, then implied book value. On the other hand, Bolagsverket uses quota (see http://www.bolagsverket.se/in_english/register_and_change/co...
