multi-brand fuel card

This is the card that companies usually give to managers who drive corporate cars, which enables them to purchase fuel at certain gas stations and to have the amount debited and reported directly to the company.

A search using "multi-brand" and "fuel card" as keywords does return quite a few hits in the Internet.

multi-company fuel card

High confidence, even if there are no ghits for it, because there are only 2 ghits for the French!

Individual oil companies or petrol-station operating companies issue fuel cards to companies with fleets of trucks or cars so staff can tank up on credit. Then along come the middlemen who issue a fuel card that is accepted by a number of different oil companies, making people's lives that little bit easier...

Loads of ghits for "fuel card".

Or "multi-supplier fuel card" in case "company" gives the impression several fleet-operating companies share an account.

I think finding the right expression is as difficult as finding one for "multibank bank card", eg Visa, Mastercard, as opposed to bank-specific withdrawal cards.

agree Jana Cole (X) : Something like this. Depending on the context and the exact details, you can figure out how to best express it.

something else

as fuel does not always equate with petrol/LP gas/diesel.
This answer should be more specific to petrol/LP gas/diesel I feel.
Considering that fuels like alcohol and bio-diesel and hydrogen are entering the market. I like the general thrust of Bourth's answer but I would like the english language to slowly weed out misnomers if at all possible. I am trying not to laugh ... but a multi-branded fossil-fuel card is not something I would like suggest here but rather...
multi-branded petro-chemical fuel card .
If this is not much chop then I apologise on behalf of the english language....

This is my point...
If you have two "multi-brand fuel cards" in your hands
one for petrol and one for ethanol, but the question relates to a petrol/LP gas/diesel, is it not better to retain the specifics of the question and not to lose something in the translation.

In the old days people use to use charcoal burners.
I am probably making too much of this issue but I am a bit of a die hard for specifics. If the questiion did not have 'pétrolier' in it there would be no issue...
