Continued from the previous question.
Indeed in the Leontief's interview we find even a series of complaints about increasingly technical nature of economic theory. Nevertheless the technical details of economic analysis are not totally absent from the conversations.
My idea is that a theory can't be technical so they are speaking about excessive accent on methods in the prejudice of the pure theory. But I may be wrong...

agree  juvera: The use of technical methods of economic analysis is becoming obvious from the conversation. They may be simply borrowing them for producing the theories, and I can't see how they can avoid doing so. Theories are also driven by facts to a certain extent.
