French term

shoot-bille

French to English Tech/Engineering plastics, rotomolding
I have a real poser here.
Customer calls it "shoot-bille" although I'm sure there is a proper term for this in French & in English.
It is a process by which a roughened or weathered finish is given to a newly-molded plastic part.......

plastic (media) blasting, bead blasting

sablage, grenaillage à billes en français

"
This is a cleaning process using fine glass beads, and mainly used on intricate mouldings and to get into places that the polishing machines can’t reach, also to blast out light rust or scale from areas that might cause any degree of contamination to the plating baths.

"Lynn's typical finish is bead-blasting, which gives the knife a crystalline, roughened
texture that doesn't reflect light as much as a satin or polished finish "

ball (marble) shooting

Ne connaissant pas la taille ni la matière des billes projetées il est difficile de trouver des termes plus précis .
Note: "ball" peut couvrir des sphères + ou - grosses , "marble" à la base représente les billes en verre des gamins mais le sens peut s'élargir.

media blasting (?)

Wild guess.

Plastic media blasting if the marbles are made of plastic.

Dry media blasting if the marbles are made of starch.

See the link, somewhere around the middle.
