l’opérateur doit à ce moment là indiquer à l’appareil si le patient présente une anomalie au niveau du """"""bloc incisif"""""""

Is this simply "the bite", or would that be missing something?
The operator concerned is using a computerised X-ray machine...
I'd be very grateful for any help, as I can't find any translations on Google - many thanks!

Comment: "many thanks SJLD! It seems to be the incisor segment (of the dental arch), although it's not necessary to specify this. All those links were also helpful, and I also have a lovely X-ray photo on a French site of the "segment" in question"

incisors
Low confidence because I'm not an expert. I think it refers to the group of teeth, ie incisors. French dentists talk of the "bloc incisif" or the "plan incisif" where English dentists would say "the incisors".
Note from asker:
many thanks Emma for the suggestion. I can't help still thinking it's connected to the bite (the way the teeth meet), and now think it could well be the dental arch, especially as I've found "upper" and "lower" ones... |

So in this case the sentence would be to check for dysfunction of incisor occlusion. No over translation, ask any dentist.

: I see you "stole" my word "segment" LOL - there is no mention of occlusion in the source/the term to translate is "bloc incisif" not "anomalie au niveau du bloc incisif" - bloc is segment

segment is interesting but noot enough. I discussed this with the CHU orthodentist Alain V., he mentioned screening for occlusal anomalies (among other occlusal anomalies in TMJ dysfunction for example)
