This word is pretty clear in Portuguese when it refers to the emotional feeling of need or loneliness, but I just can't find a word for it in English. Any hints?

Oi Silvia. Como eu disse na descrição da palavra, o contexto está embutido na própria palavra. Carência, no sentido de estar triste, carente, emocionalmente carente, deprimido. Não tenho uma frase boa no texto para fornecer. Digamos então: "a paciente demonstrava insegurança e carência", ou "a paciente estava muito carente". |
