Just an idea!

Although the idiom I am suggesting usually means that something/or somebody is very valuable, I believe it could work here as well. If something is very valuable, worth its weight, you can also count on it or trust that it is true.
In this case you can trust the scale is precise and the statement about it is true. You can be sure of it.

more literal:
you can put that to the test/ "put it to the scale"
you can ascribe all the weight you want to it.
you can surely have absolute trust in the scale/...trust the scale's absolutely precise

auf die Goldwaage legen: to weigh one's words, to watch every word, to be very careful, to ascribe much importance to it, ....
einer Aussage eine sehr hohe / zu hohe Bedeutung beimessen

auch wenn es sich nur um Kleinigkeiten handelt. wie dafür geschaffen ist die digitale Feinwaage xxx: bis zu 500 g teilt sie präzise in 0,1-g-schritte auf. Das dürfen sie ruhig auf die goldwaage legen.

Personally I still say "scales" although there is no longer any evidence of the "two-mirror-halves-joined-at-one-point" aspect, however the example sentence uses "scale", which fits my saying better, anyway.

My suggestion is an attempt to save the "gold" and the "weighing" from the original Spruch and also to emphasise how precious this article should be for its purchaser/future owner..

Da das Original ja ein Wortspiel ist, würde ich in der Übersetzung ebenfalls eines gebrauchen. Die Redensart "take sth with a grain of salt" bezieht sich ja auf die skeptische Haltung gegenüber einer Behauptung. Die Aufforderung, jenes "grain of salt" ruhig auf die Waage zu legen, wäre (meiner Meinung nach) eine nette Anspielung darauf, dass die Hersteller zuversichtlich sind dass ihre Behauptungen auch der penibelsten Bewertung standhalten würden.
