: I support this answer now, but "Belt Press" is wrong. Belt filter or belt filter press, but not "belt press" - that's for printing as far as I can tell @ sibsab, You could translate klappband literally (hinged-belt), but it's probably wrong.

horizontal belt filter
"The belt filter [is] sometimes called a belt filter press"
"Improvements
The effectiveness of the operation can be increased by creating a pressure difference across the filter cloth. The filter cloth is directed though a zone where either pressure or vacuum pushes water from the filter cloths and ultimately to drain. [2]"
Tese improvements are called "pressure belt filter" and "vacuum belt filter"

I added "horizontal", because it differentiates this one from the others on the website. The German terms on the website are also not the only possible names for the belt presses listed - there is some variation in the naming, even in German.
The continuous belt press is also NOT horizontal - it's the only one that could have been otherwise mistaken for this horizontal press, which also has a continuous band albeit "hinged".

I found this translation as well, but google search results for this name don't satisfy either. I'm still convinced there must be another (more common) name |
Discussion
See below, the endlosbandfilter typically has a "klappband" too, yet it's not called endlosklappbandfilter in German.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/3965011.html: Endless filter belt United States Patent 3965011
The filter belt according to claim 6, wherein said separable connection for the guide strips is a hinge connection.
8. The filter belt according to claim 6, wherein said separable connection for guide strips is a *hinge connection* which comprises a row of parallel wire loops projecting from each end face of the guide strips, and locking pins cooperating with respective wire loops to constitute the *hinge connections*.
I don't think belt press is correct. Belt filter or belt filter press - the emphasis seems to always be on the *filter* with these machines. Check the wikipedia link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belt_filter) it looks almost identical to the machine at your link: http://www.leiblein.de/de/filtertechnik/klappbandfilter.html
Peter Zauner mentions "belt filter press" in his answer, that's why I now support his answer.
