French term

notes d'analystes financiers

French to English Bus/Financial Investment / Securities
This is in a list of sources of information used by a major accounting firm in valuating companies. In addition to financial data extracted from databases such as OneSource, Bloomberg, etc., it lists these "notes d'analystes financiers". It seems that these cannot be ratings (as those would be "notations")--is there a standard US English translation/equivalent for this phrase?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Actually, you can't assume that analysts' 'ratings' -- of the buy/hold/sell, add/reduce variety -- would not be described as 'notes' rather than 'notations'. The two French words are commonly used synonymously for the marks/grades/scores awarded, if not for the process of doing it.

I think "research" is the term that you're looking for here.
