English term

village

English Marketing Sports / Fitness / Recreation
Context:
"We’re currently planning the event with [THE CLUB], where we will have a fully branded village at the stadium".

What does the word 'village' mean here? I think it refers to something that will be installed in the stadium.

Thanks in advance!

exhibition stand

a place people can go to see (and buy) everything that the Club has to offer. For example, if it is a football club, this would include shirts, shorts, socks, balls, scarves, cups, mugs,DVDs, videos or video games -all manner of merchandise - all branded with the name of the Club, presumably. I assume the stand will be quite large, from your sentence.
Peer comment(s):

agree David Sirett : The only in-context answer so far, IMO, though "exhibition" probably isn't the best solution (as you suggest, it would be predominantly a retail operation), and also "village" implies a number of stands, stalls, boutiques or whatever.

athletes village

It really depends on the context, if this is a huge event, the organizers will create an accommodation area for all the athletes to stay in during the event, with many amenities/features.

all supporters from that small TOWN

"village" is a small town in BE, "a centre of a small town" - if to be precise. "Branded" - "marked" by their interest - in T-shirts.

To Ann: Why it wouldn't fit the context? Though, a wider context would be desirable here. Probably, I put the level of my confidence too high, because my answer can be good only if the mentioned event takes place in Britain.

neutral Travelin Ann : does not fit the context, IMO
