Lisa teaches English to foreign adult students of all nationalities. She edits and proofreads material from post-grad students from Ottawa University and Carleton University.

1999-2001 Technical translator/Administrator for Lorne International, UK (Now Protrust Deutschland)
Lorne International is a UK based international insurance brokerage company. Lisa was responsible for reception duties, web development, document production for the brokers and client tracking, all administered in English and German.

1997 – 1999 Outreach administrator/language teacher for Tower Hamlets College, UK
Tower Hamlets College is a college for further education located in the inner city of London, UK. Lisa was part of the outreach team, a program which was developed to take education out into the inner city community to reach people who otherwise might not have access to further education. Lisa was responsible for the data management of student numbers and requirements to produce reports for the UK government in order to secure continued funding. She also taught English, computer and literature skills to adults returning to learn and foreign students.

1996 – 1997 Administrator/Technical editor for St Mary’s Hospital, London, UK
Lisa was responsible for collating material from research papers in the Psychology Department of this University hospital, using a library data program. She proofread and edited student and professor material. She also was responsible for scheduling student conferences and interviews.

1993 – 1996 Administrator/technical translator for Jardines International Insurance Brokers, London, UK
Jardines is an international insurance company in the heart of the City of London, UK. Lisa was the marketing broker assistant, responsible for promotional advertising, organizing booths at fairs and arranging in house international travel requirements for business travelers. She was also responsible for producing broker documents and liaising with clients, in English, French and German.

Lisa graduated with an honours degree in Modern Languages, majoring in German, specializing in linguistics, technical translation, modern, 19th century and medieval German and Austrian literature, German and Austrian philosophy.

Lisa graduated high school in the UK, with 4 A levels (French, German, History and Psychology) and 8 O levels (please enquire for further details).
