I agree that "requirer" is not very good, but "requestor" is common enough.

no context... The word appears only once in the entire doc and only as a single-word heading at that. I actually don't think it's appropriate to the content of the section it refers to so I've come up with a longer alternative that better reflects the content of the section and removes the ambiguity. However, it would be inaccurate to present my solution as a translation of "requérant" so I'm going to close this posting - thanks for your response !

agree with mediamatrix the only prob is the lack of context. please post a sentence in French. Just an explanation in English doesn't do it.

But which (if any...) of those ideas is most appropriate will depend on the phrasing of the French text - which you have not provided.

So, please post the word 'requérant' in it's proper context - i.e. a full sentence in French.
