dissolution: "Anéantissement d'un état juridique. La dissolution d'une société, de la communauté, d'un mariage, signifie que la société, la communauté, le mariage n'existe plus."
It would seem that this about the company being dissolved, not being wound up (liquidation) or being stricken from the register (radiation). Both of which may ensue.

Dissolved, or struck off the register? Asker, have you looked up Articles 708 and 86 to see what they actually specify? If not, you really need to do so, e.g. in England the Registrar of Companies can "strike off" a company if it has persistently failed to comply with statutory requirements such as filing annual returns

disagree rkillings : Dissolution does not necessarily entail winding-up. See Code de commerce, L236-3 on 'la dissolution sans liquidation' (translated as "dissolution without winding-up" in the English version). Translate what it says.

I think the "d'office" here means that it is automatic. This site explains the difference between various types of dissolution:
