German term

bloß objektiv

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
In a contract about general terms and conditions of sale and delivery, under property rights:

Would "purely objective" work or is there a more common term?

for no fault of their own

just an attempt to make it simple - a non-technical treatment of a technical subject.

My preference for "their" is to cover both masc. and fem. with one word.

I also like Norbert's suggestion.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Norbert Hohl : I agree with the use of 'their', however the 'bloss', i.e. 'selbst dann, wenn er lediglich im objektiven Verzug ist' is lost in your translation. Subjektiver Verzug could thus be argued to be excluded from triggering the rights listed.
