Swedish term
satta i rekonstruktion
Swedish to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
press release about acquisition
Bolaget och dess dotterbolag är satta i rekonstruktion. "Satta i" is the part I'm unsure about. Any ideas?

put in reconstruction

: I agree, but I would say it slightly differently: in bankruptcy court for reconstruction purposes

undergoing reorganisation
'Rekonstruktion' can mean both reconstruction and reorganisation according to my FARS economic dictionary.
For your interest, in a government context, it can also refer to a reshuffle, such as a cabinet reshuffle.

: "Undergoing" is a result of "satta; it's not a valid translation of "satta".

being reconstructed
This is not my field of expertise, but from what I can gather you can keep it simple and say that the companies "are being reconstructed" (similar to JaneD's answer). If you google "the company is being reconstructed" you get more than 2,000 hits, and can check out the context there.

undergoing (business/corporate) debt restructuring
"If high debt burden is the cause of financial distress, the company can undergo a debt restructuring."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_distress
The need for corporate debt restructuring arises when a borrowing company is undergoing financial hardship.

Companies seek temporarily protection from their creditors. The creditors often reject this process rather than pushing for it! I’m not sure why ‘declared in bankruptcy’ would be better as this is a later stage in the process!
