I'll suggest these shorter alternatives, tho in Sven's response 'remedies' would cover it, too. This link provides a good discussion: sanctions are stated in the contract; remedies claimed outside the contract -- as in a court action. I can't really be sure in your limited context, tho it seems the latter.
