Road information systems
The above from an Italian decree. I am trying to think of the best rendering for enti proprietari delle strade, it seems a common enough phrase, but am not sure of the best version in English.
TIA for any input

: Roads can be owned by several different bodies - national roads authorities, local authorities, or private individuals.

Definitely, this is an umbrella term, covering area teams, managing agents, major projects and private finance initiatives.

3 hrs
owners (or operators) of road network/infrastructure
I suppose this could range from cities/regions (proprietari) to operators like Autostrade S.p.A. (concessionari)
11 hrs
authorities that own roads
The term is taken from the Highway Code and clearly refers to central and local government authorities.

Hi Phil. There were five posts up when I posted. Looking now I do see that you have "suggested" this as a third alternative, an after thought, with no research and no explanation for it.
With a view to helping the asker, I am clearly saying, I think this is the best translation and this is why and this is my research. I can't do that very efficiently in the peer comment box to your post.
