The most common method for obtaining threshold data for infants and smaller children is frequency specific auditory brainstem response (ABR).
If the ABR threshold is measured in normal hearing levels (nHL) it requires a correction factor to obtain estimated hearing levels (eHL).
If you enter corrected ABR threshold data into the fitting software, it will read these threshold data as behavioral puretone thresholds.
