French term

connaissances propres

I'm guessing it means new knowledge, proper knowledge, stuff they learned from their own research, but what is the technical legal term for this?

proprietary knowledge

The broadest term is required here (more than IP, patents, art, secret, etc.) and PK is that term, based on my work in the field of tech ventures.

Well, on reflection it may be "in-house knowledge" in that not all in-house knowledge is proprietary and that list may in fact cover non-proprietary items (i.e. knowledge developed in-house but also known to certain other companies). I certainly change by certainty from 5 to 3 or 4!

That should cover all the knowledge held or developed at the Company.

neutral AllegroTrans : how do you get from "propre" to "specialist"? Any refs to back this up?// well, that ref supports "own" for "propre" not "specialist" or "special"....

neutral B D Finch : No explanation and a general reference to Linguee (a rag-bag of good and bad translations) is not a valid reference.
