Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Catharine Cellier-Smart

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

kashew Aug 6, 2014:
No de chrono : 123456789 looks pretty arbitrary - any old ref. number?
Duncan Moncrieff Aug 6, 2014:
From the references given, and what I've seen (http://lesecretariat.phpbb9.com/t380-chrono-lettre-et-fax , https://fr.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200807210619... , http://www.developpez.net/forums/d665877/logiciels/microsoft... ) it's likely to be a number that references the document in the chronological sequence of doculents that have entered or left the company.

Chronological Entry Number/Reference

Based upon typical uses for "No de Chrono", e.g.:

- http://www.developpez.net/forums/d665877/logiciels/microsoft...

- http://lesecretariat.phpbb9.com/t380-chrono-lettre-et-fax

"No de chrono" represents a unique entry or reference to a listing of all incoming/outgoing correspondence (depending on the company's own criteria).
So you could translate it along the lines of: Chronological Entry Number/Reference.

neutral writeaway : neither Kudoz reference is terribly convincing. wouldn't the dossier no. serve as reference number in any case? imo a solution around the meaning of the world chronology has to be found.

timeline - a sequence of related events arranged in chronological order
Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : this isn't an event. it's a document/still doesn't turn a contract into an event. timeline isn't correct in the context afaik. Also, I don't see any indication of sequence here. It's a one-off document. I don't see how this answer can possibly apply.

Metadata is "data about data". The term is ambiguous, as it is used for two fundamentally different concepts (types). Structural metadata is about the design and specification of data structures and is more properly called "data about the containers of data"; descriptive metadata, on the other hand, is about individual instances of application data, the data content.
....
The main purpose of metadata is to facilitate in the discovery of relevant information, more often classified as resource discovery. Metadata also helps organize electronic resources, provide digital identification, and helps support archiving and preservation of the resource. Metadata assists in resource discovery by "allowing resources to be found by relevant criteria, identifying resources, bringing similar resources together, distinguishing dissimilar resources, and giving location information.
