French term

sdn

French to English Bus/Financial Accounting e-billing, EDI etc
I usually get my clients to define any abbreviations they use, and am still waiting for a reply on this one. This one is from a list of subjects covered at the upcoming "Les Salon Solutions" expo in Paris:

"Les Salon Solutions: ERP, CRM, BI, e-achats, Dematerialisation, Archivage en Ligne, sdn/infotodoc, Serveurs & Applications..."

Hi Phil:) The client told me to just leave it in French, and they've told me the same this time round! However, I still wanted to know what it stands for as I have a thing about undefined acronyms... BTW I also found out that "infotodoc" in the same text has nothing to do with photos as I suspected, but is actually an English portmanteau of info + to + doc. We live and learn...

You asked a question about the same text last September! How did you translate it then?http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/marketing_market...

Thanks writeaway. When I started translating research had to be done at a library - these innovative new methods are certainly worth a try ;-) Seriously though, researching acronyms can be tricky regardless of the resources available.
agree Duncan Moncrieff : Yes, another Brit who knows how to use Google!!!

Many thanks, Duncan!
agree kashew : Just put SDN ?

Thanks, kashew. Yes, that is the client's preference (see neilmac's discussion entry)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "If the comments about knowing how to use Google are meant to be amusing, then epic fail. The other 2 suggestions would be equally valid in certain contexts. Thanks for helping out :-)"
