Johanna Timm, PhD Aug 9, 2014:
stimmt, Andrea
"unmittelbare Zustellung":
Eine unmittelbare Zustellung ist dann gegeben, wenn einer Person[...] das Schriftstück tatsächlich übergeben wird"

Andrea Muller (X) Aug 8, 2014:
Zustellung unmittelbar an die Parteien? Maybe it means that copies of the ruling will be served on the parties directly and not on their legal representatives.

A copy of the judgment can, under § 133 of the German Civil Procedure Code, be issued forthwith and served on the Gegner > the other side and the 2nd Defendant(s). No need to wait for formal service to be 'effected'.

Compare a Prozeßvollmacht in a pleading (Prozeßschrift or Schriftsatz) that a trial lawyer > Proßezbevollmächtigter undertakes (zusichert) to 'supply hereafter' > nachzureichen.

So I agree with Andrea M. and now Dr. Joanna T. in the discussion entry.
