Report on urban and street art
In a report about urban and street art in 2014. Describing an artist's work. context: "le Danois Morten Andersen, au travail de glacis géométriques sur toile". I realise that this artist's work involves geometric shapes, but how does this relate to the glaze? Is it the shapes that are geometric under the glaze, or the glaze applied in a way to produce a geometric result somehow? Thanks in advance!

I think it has to do with how the brushstrokes are placed on the canvas.

en peinture, le glacis est une couche de couleur transparente posée en fin de travail pour augmenter la profondeur des teintes et régler l'harmonie colorée du tableau

Discussion
I may be wrong, but I'm not convinced it means "geometric glazes" - I would have thought glazes were normally applied to the whole surface.
...
" Then I use spraycan, more acrylic, more charcoal and more chalk, and to finish up I apply a couple of layers of acrylic glaze, which really intensifies the colors and adds a nice even surface. "(from interview with Danish artist HAERVAERK)
If you take into account the friendship between Haervaerk and Andersen, it's possible that they use similar techniques that points to the use of glaze in geometric forms - Andersen's work is quite abstract with lots of geometric forms!
