Fee? I as a Br EN speaker agree with you 100% and I would only use fee in relation to a service, a recurring payment, subscription, etc.

Fee? Thanks for all your input! One thing I was wondering about while reading various suggestions though..When I hear "fee", I think of payment for a service (as opposed to payment to purchase an object). Is that just me, or do other native English speakers have that association? To me it would sound strange, for example, to refer to the price of a car, or house, or furniture as a "fee".

Can be bought from the previous tenant. Seems the easiest solution. This is rather common when a tenant has installed a kitchen and then chooses not to move it. Particularly here in the country, young people who have built their new homes, sell the kitchen appliances to the next tenant.

Indemnity or fee I don't think there is a particular word for this, but either of these two words could fit depending on the context.

Maybe? the previous tenants bought or installed the built-in kitchen themselves and own it - so new tenant has to purchase it or the previous tenants will dismantle and remove it....

EBK is Einbauküche. And an Abstand is an amount of money, though I'm not sure why it's payable.
