French term

remboursement au jour le jour

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Convertible bonds issue agreement

even if it's a leap year, the annual interest rate is divided by 365 and that daily interest rate is applied for the period ending on the day when the repayment was really made.

the term to translate is "au jour le jour" and is part of "calcul prorata temporis ... au jour le jour"

it's an indication of the method used to calculate interests due OR claimed.

IOW instead or rounding the period for which the interest is calculated to a fixed day in the month or the week, the effective number of days from when the amount is due and when it's paid in used for the calculation.

IOW the interest is calculated per day

repayment, on a daily basis

I think you may be parsing the sentence wrongly, perhaps because of the punctuation. "Au jour le jour" refers to "les interêts sont versés", not "remboursement", so it means the interest is charged daily.
Note from asker:
My bad (though I'd say "redemption" instead of repayment). Thanks, Phil.
thank you, Phil

neutral Daryo : what exactly is that supposed to mean? repayments are made every single day? Any references?

The other two people who agreed with me seem to understand it perfectly well.
neutral AllegroTrans : intrerest calculated daily but surely not paid daily?

Of course not. That goes without saying.
