On a French university transcript this is one of the course descriptions. Not sure whether to just say Administration or Administrative Professions.

Administrative careers
"careers" is the term generally used in an academic context. (Sorry not to have entered this as an answer earlier, but I was on my smart phone and wanted to make sure to edit out the \ that Site software had inserted in your source term).

: but the number of administrative jobs within the private sector is not to be shut out here.

Katherine Rutter
: I agree with public sector jobs here. There is a difference between "metiers administratifs" and "métiers de l'administration".

: This is a French university transcript! The holder would be rather disappointed with your relegation of this to admin jobs!

Discussion
métiers de l'administration
refers only to the Civil service, or includes all type of "admin jobs" (corporate, private sector, charities, ...)
A priori, there are no special reasons to limit the studies only to "public/state" administration, and web searches are inconclusive.
